Following the suit of the progressively refining temperaments of his music, Tom McCone (aka. Astronaut Club, for the moment at least) pulled together this small album over a week-ish, inspired by having enough motivation to actually do something for once, a radical shift in mindspace and some seriously good weather.

'Places' represents a different style of musical composition from other Astronaut Club releases, featuring much more multitracked pieces, layered field recordings, quasi-fugal guitar work and faux-contrapuntal keyboard segues, not to mention what could be considered as spoken word overlays.
